I'm on the hunt for a romantic pop of color, and red is the color that achieves this best. I want the shade of red to be a little bit toned down, a deeper red. However, I am always a sucker for a lipstick red piece. Red is such a neutral, it's classic and timeless. Depending on styling it can bring drama, romance, or a fun pop! I've had my eye on a few and I'm stuck.

  1. Marge Sherwood- Hobo Shoulder Bag in Chili Crinkle

I've had my eye on this bag for awhile, but I never got around to purchasing it. For some reason, I see myself selling it after a few months. I don't know if I would use this bag as much as I'd like. I think it may be the shape and the zipper. While the shape allows it to perfectly sit on the shoulder, the zip will piss me off.

  1. Polo Ralph Lauren- Small Polo ID Shoulder Bag in Red

I really like this shade of red and the silver hardware. Lately, I've been a bit turned off from gold hardware. One day, I randomly just felt like it can cheapen a bag, and I can't unsee it. Ironically, my dad gifted me the medium size in Hunting Olive. I wanted a bag that wasn't too gigantic or clunky to carry my everyday essentials, including my AirPod Pro Max headphones. Sadly, this one's not much of a contender anymore. I really love color, but I prefer it's silhouette in a bigger size.

  1. Mlouye- Flex Bag in Bordeaux

This is actually a bag charm, but can also be used as a nano bag. I love a patent red number and am in love with the geometry used on this piece. It's cutting edge and artistic. Sad part is it's a nano bag so I can't fit much. It's size really does take away from its potential everyday utility. Def a **** you bag.

  1. Verafied New York- Cherry Bag

This bag is so sexy! This red is DIVINE. This one is in red patent leather. The sharper angles of its structure really drew me in. It gives city-girl stylishly out-and-about downtown. She's carefree and effortlessly sophisticated. The only drawback is that there isn't much info on the quality/type of leather used by the company.

To me, red IS a neutral color. Everything can use some red.

Update: Wrote all of this just to go with a bag that wasn't even originally listed. I went with the iconic Kate Spade Small Sam Icon Tote bag. A design that is noted for its 90s chic minimalism via the simple shopping bag design. Accompanied with lipstick red patent leather, it's bold, yet simple and chic. The bag that put Kate Spade on the map, may she rest in peace.
